Hi, my name is Emily and I’m a stay at home mom and freelance graphic designer. My husband, baby daughter, and dog, Barkley, live in Portland, Oregon. On this blog I share thoughts on life and motherhood, things that inspire me, and crafty projects that I’ve made or admire.
Things I like: modern design and architecture, good food, crafting, and travel (although I don’t really do it very much anymore). My life pretty much revolves around my growing daughter lately, but we do find opportunities for little adventures both solo and as a family every now and then. I also like to read, garden, spend time with friends, watch netflix movies, dine out, and go for walks.
One challenge we face on a daily basis is living in a tiny house with 3 people and a dog. It is hard to entertain more than a couple friends at a time and we often dream about building an addition out back. However, with the high cost of housing, we’re likely to be here a while. I can definitely say it is cute, and cozy, and it is probably helping us to live greener than we would in a normal size house. 
Practically all the photos on this site have been taken with my old Kodak EasyShare V550, but as of Mother’s Day 2009 I’ll be taking more pics using my new Canon Rebel XSi! Yay!
